This is a private safari to Maasai Mara Game Reserve in a tour van. . There is an excellent chance of seeing the Africa Big Five, cheetah, serval, hyena, bat-eared foxes, black-backed and side-striped jackals, hippo, crocodile, baboons, warthog, topi, eland, Thompson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, impalas, water bucks, oribi, reed-buck, zebra on the Masai Mara Safari.
Superb plains scenery and unmatched safari activities, Masai Mara National Park is considered Kenya’s best park.
At 8 am, you will be picked up from your hotel/airport and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the rift valley. Arrive in time for lunch. Check in and have lunch. In the evening at 4.00pm depart for a sunset game viewing drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve where chances of seeing the big cats is extremely high, ends at 6:00pm.
Return back to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner ending with good time for resting.
Spend the night in Jambo Mara Safari Lodge/Mara Sopa Lodge
Have breakfast at 6:30 am and at 7 am, leave for a full day game viewing in the park. On this day, spend the full day exploring Maasai Mara in search of the big five, hippos and Nile crocodile. Thereafter, go for picnic lunch in park under a croton tree shade overlooking the vast landscape of the park.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.
